Approved for MoT testing, the boston range of brake testers are the latest and most up to date equipment available.
They enable fast and accurate brake testing for motorcycles, cars and light commercial vehicles including four wheel drive.
All models boast a host of features including LED matrix displays allowing both analogue and digital display of readings, automatic calculation of brake efficiency, infra-red remote control operation, dual directional operation, 4 wheel drive testing (rollers operate in opposite directions), ovality testing, printer facility with full company details (optional), weighing scales (optional) and wall or pedestal mounting.
Our D401 and D701 are both PC compatible using wireless Bluetooth connectivity to our emissions platform, enabling compatibility with the new VOSA ATL 'One Man' testing scheme.
Rider 100 Braketester (click)
The Rider 100 exceeds current specifications and offers a host of features including ovality testing, sidecar testing, built-in weighing scales as standard and complete calculation of brake efficiency.
A printer can easily be added to print copies of the test results and provides that professional image for your customers.

D401 Braketester (click)
The new D401 is the latest and highest specification MoT Class 4 brake tester on the market. In standard configuration, the D401 can be used as a stand alone braketester for use in traditional MoT bays. It can also be upgraded at anytime with a four point weighing system and computer control* making it completeley compatible with the new ATL One Man Test from VOSA, for which the D401 is approved.
The D401 chassis is manufactured to a very high standard and is able to withstand heavy duty work as found in many busy testing stations. It has a load capacity of 3000kg and is wirelessly operated using an infra-red remote control.
* PC control using hardwired or wireless Bluetooth connectivity.
D401 Features.-

D701 Braketester (click)
The D701 is our Class 7 MoT approved roller braketester. Just like the D401, it has the highest specification and is probably the most popular Class 7 braketester in the market. In standard configuration, the D701 can be used as a stand alone braketester for use in traditional MoT bays. It can also be upgraded at anytime with an eight point weighing system and computer control* making it completeley compatible with the new ATL One Man Test from VOSA, for which the D701 is approved.
The D701 has a large 4000kg axle load capacity allowing it to perform effortlessly day-in day-out with heavy duty workloads. Similar to the D401, the chassis is manufactured to a very high standard, but unlike the D401, the chassis are a split bed configuration providing extra flexibility when desigining MoT bays. This makes it very popular amoung busy Class 7 testing stations. The D701 is wirelessly operated using an infra-red remote control.
